Great bold‑flavoured red wine. Soft ripe berry flavours with a hint of pepper, smooth tannins so it’s easy drinking. Perfect for weeknight dinner or sharing with mates. Not too heavy, really well‑balanced. Tastes like classic Barossa fruit.
I opened this Shiraz with dinner and was pleasantly surprised by how smooth it tasted. My first sip had plenty of juicy blackberry and plum flavours, followed by a gentle peppery spice. It felt rich and velvety in my mouth but wasn’t overly heavy or harsh. After letting it breathe for a while, the flavour became softer and more rounded, with a warm finish that lingered nicely. I found myself enjoying it more with every sip and would definitely buy it again.
Popped this open with a BBQ lamb rack and it delivered exactly what I wanted. Big, lush dark fruits, juicy plums, and that classic McLaren Vale dark chocolate and licorice note. It's incredibly velvety on the palate and goes down very easily. Only knocking off a star because the alcohol warmth is a little prominent, making the finish feel a bit hot on the back of the throat. Still a very generous and satisfying drop for a weekend feast.
