So Good I Bought It Again

I first bought this Limestone Coast Cabernet Sauvignon from Dan Murphy’s website and enjoyed it so much that I later ordered it directly from the Maison Blue website. It offered rich blackcurrant and plum flavours, with subtle hints of cedar, herbs and spice. Full-bodied yet smooth, its tannins softened beautifully after some time in the glass. The long, savoury finish paired perfectly with roast beef. It was definitely worth coming back for another bottle.

A stunning benchmark for the region

This is the wine that truly showcases why the Limestone Coast is so highly prized. It opens with lifted aromas of blackcurrant, dark plum and a distinct swirl of mint and chocolate, with a touch of classy cedar and tobacco leaf in the background . The palate is powerful yet perfectly framed with firm, fine-grained tannins, plenty of concentrated dark fruit, and a long, layered finish that lingers beautifully. It's a complete wine that drinks brilliantly now but has a good future ahead of it.

      Solid regional cabernet

You get classic Limestone Coast cabernet characters: black berry, eucalyptus hint and earthy mineral undertones. Tannins are quite firm when first opened. It softens nicely after decanting, drinking much better with food. Not really approachable for casual sipping on its own.

      Classic and solid

Lovely blackcurrant, cedar and a minty edge. Firm tannins with a decent finish. Well-balanced and reliable, just missing that extra wow factor for a 5-star.

      Classic and absolutely flawless

Rich blackcurrant and mint with elegant cedar notes. Firm yet silky tannins and a wonderfully long, savoury finish. A truly outstanding drop.
